100% Digital Leeds: Digital skills partnership with Discovery with Three

Free 'train-the-trainer' digital skills sessions for staff and volunteers wanting to help improve the basic digital skills of their organisation's service users.

We are pleased to announce a new partnership between 100% Digital Leeds and Discovery with Three, aiming to up-skill staff and volunteers from organisations wanting to run digital skills sessions for their learners.

The session has been developed in consultation with community partners following feedback from organisations who would like to run digital skills sessions with learners but feel they don’t have the skills and knowledge in house. In this session Discovery with Three will share their expert knowledge and resources to improve the skills and confidence of Community Learners, supporting them to offer digital learning sessions in their own setting.

What: ‘Train the trainer’ programme by Discovery with Three
When: Wednesday 11th September, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Where: The Sanderson Room, 3rd Floor, Leeds Central Library, Calverley Street, Leeds LS1 3AB
Who: Staff, volunteers, tutors interested in supporting service users to develop their digital skills
Booking: Full details and free tickets are available via Eventbrite

Community Leaders (staff, volunteers, tutors) will take part in a ‘train the trainer session’ and are asked to invite one or two learners to take part in a learning session co-delivered with Discovery with Three. Community Leaders will be asked to give feedback on Discovery with Three’s approach and the suitability for their organisation.

Following the session Community Leaders will be given access to a bank of resources developed by Discovery with Three, for use in their own setting. Resources are simple and visual, making them suitable for ESOL learners.

If the session is successful 100% Digital Leeds and Discovery with Three will launch a rolling programme of train-the-trainer sessions, supporting an increase in the number and range of digital skills learning sessions available across the city.
