Get Set Leeds is a citywide conversation about how Leeds could become a more active city
We know that being active is good for our health - but it’s not always easy to get moving every day. Lots of people in Leeds are dancing, walking, cycling, gardening, cricketing and doing other active things they love. However, as a city 22.5% of us are completely inactive (doing less than 30 minutes of activity per week).
Get Set Leeds is a citywide conversation about how Leeds could become more active. It’s a partnership between Public Health, Active Leeds, Sport Leeds, Leeds Beckett University and Leeds Health Partnerships Team, with the hope that we can involve lots of others along the way. We’re keen to hear what people are saying about what gets in the way of being active, and to gather great ideas about what would encourage more people in the city to get moving more often. You can have your say at: getsetleeds.co.uk. The website is also full of ideas for ways to get active, features a news section and includes people’s stories.
We're also talking to groups and attending events all over the city, so if you'd like us to come along and talk to you in person, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org
