Baby Week is back for its fourth time this November with the theme ‘Making connections: Bonding, healthy brains and wellbeing for all’.
We have a fantastic calendar of events ready for you!
Following on from Brazil’s model, Leeds hosted the first English speaking week and since then has had interest from several other towns and cities, including Hull and Bradford hosting their own.
Baby Week is now a national charity and in Leeds it aims to bring sectors and services together to promote the Best Start in life. We would be grateful for your support in promoting the week and sharing details of it with friends, family and colleagues over the coming weeks.
Baby Week Leeds 2019 will feature many events throughout the city including activities at libraries and at your local children centres. There will also be opportunities to enhance services and have your say, as well as many more fun city wide events.
It’s great to see so many partners involved this year so please visit the website to see the full schedule of events.
The opening ceremony at Crowne Plaza Hotel will focus on bringing sectors together, the importance of making connections and wellbeing for all. This event is open to all with many information stalls, key speeches and interactive workshops. We will also be launching in Leeds the exciting new initiative ‘Facemums’.
During the week, we will be hosting a free one day conference at Leeds Central Library with inspiring speakers, thought-provoking topics, discussions and workshops!
Due to limited spaces, we encourage you to reserve your place as soon as possible via the Eventbrite link.
There are over 100 events and activities happening during the week and will be added to the Baby Week Leeds website today at www.babyweek.co.uk/babyweek2019
