COVID-19 Testing Available for Third Sector Health and Social Care Staff

There has been huge demand this morning as it has been opened up to all key workers and the portal for Employee self-referral has currently been closed.
Should you as an individual employer wish to seek access and book staff yourself please do and information is contained below of how to do this. As a backup for booking we will keep our CCG booking service going at present for anyone having difficulty and needs to get a staff member a test as we recognise that the new system is experiencing lots of pressure. We can also sign post staff to how to get a test for a child at the LTHT testing facility should they need it.
Leeds is now able to offer Covid-19 testing to Third Sector staff across Health and Social care services in Leeds through the Temple Green site (J45 MI).
The criteria for testing is: the member of staff, or one of their family members, must be self-isolating and must have symptoms. Staff will be turned away from the site if they do not have symptoms.
Staff need to be booking in for a test as soon as they go off work with symptoms as testing should ideally be done in the first 3 days, and at the most, 5 days. The turnaround from the labs is 48 hours and results are made available to the staff member via text/e-mail.

If the staff member is isolating due to a child being symptomatic then they have a small amount of capacity at LTHT to offer testing of those children. Please again email the staff member's details to the e-mail address and they will call back to arrange.
