Grants up to £10,000 for intergenerational activities in Leeds that enable people to live happier and more fulfilled lives.
Leeds Community Foundation is committed to making Leeds a city where everyone can experience and play. In partnership with Haribo they have launched the Haribo Happiness Fund to support projects creating ‘moments of childlike happiness’ through intergenerational activities that enable people to live happier and more fulfilled lives.
Applicants can apply for up to £5,000 for 1 year projects, or £10,000 for 2 year projects. In this case, intergenerational refers to a combination of older people (50+ years old) and young people (up to 25 years old). In light of Covid-19 and current social distancing measures, applicants are encouraged to consider what type of activity (online, offline, on-site) they are able to provide and LCF will offer flexibility on delivery as circumstances continue to change. Grantees must ensure they adhere to current and changing guidelines in respect of their activity.
Who can apply?
Community groups, charities, social enterprises or other charitable organisations from the third sector, working jointly in partnership or solely that:
Have a constitution or other relevant governance document
Have a management committee/board of directors/trustees of at least three unrelated people
Have a bank account under the name of the group with at least two unrelated signatories (if your organisation doesn’t have its own bank account, but does meet all of the other criteria, please contact us to discuss how we can work around this)
Are based in or supporting people living in the Leeds Metropolitan District Area
Have a child safeguarding policy
The fund can support projects which:
Bring people together to take part in engaging activities that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to take access and enjoy,
Strengthen communities by bringing groups together that would not usually interact for prolonged periods, and
Bring generations together to promote better connections across age ranges
Deadline to apply is 12pm on Thursday 27th August 2020. Funding will be awarded in October 2020.
