Spike Help to Raise Over £2,000 for Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire
Digital marketing agency Spike has raised £2,102 for Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire. With a target in place of £2,021.00, 8 employees of Spike took to their bikes and running shoes, with some walking to collectively reach a distance of 2,207.54 km in March.
Each of the 8 Spike colleagues achieved a daily kilometre count of 8.9 km throughout March.
According to Cancer Research UK, the Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire board aims to increase awareness across the region’s business community of Cancer Research UK’s work and to encourage them to work together to support the charity through a range of fundraising activities.
This another fitness-based fundraising activity Spike has been involved in following a previous challenge of walking 3.3m steps for Leeds North and West Foodbank through December.
Director of Spike Rob Powell commented:
“We’re thrilled to have reached our target of 2,021 km in March. A credit to everyone who stepped up to the challenge, there were some moments of real grit but everyone dug in deep and we’re pleased to be able to help raise funds for Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire.
We are now deciding on what our next fundraising challenge could be!”
