Providing Volunteer Centre services for prisoners and ex-offenders
Giving Time is a Volunteer Centre Leeds project that supports adults who have criminal convictions to access volunteering opportunities across West Yorkshire.
Giving Time is delivered within several prisons including; HMP Leeds, New Hall and Askham Grange. The service provides opportunities, advice and training for prisoners who are considering volunteering when they are released. The Giving Time service is also delivered in the community via the Volunteer Centre, and through our outreach sessions.
Youth Giving Time supports young people who have criminal convictions or are at risk of offending to engage in volunteering opportunities. We support young people who are aged between 10 and 19 and have a range of opportunities on offer to them. Youth Giving Time also delivers workshops and training to young people who are at risk of coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
“Giving Time has restored my faith in rebuilding my life and creating a better future.”
