Cultural Competence for Organisations

The course will look at racism in all it’s forms, it’s impact on its victims and what organisations can do to be more diverse and work toward an equitable system and structures withing their organisations, it will cover micro aggression, unconscious bias and cultural competence and include a look at the Cultural Competence Quality Mark.

 

Learning Outcomes

People will learn about the impact of racism on racialized communities, you will learn how to become allies in combatting racism in your organisations and in society, you will learn how micro aggression, unconscious bias, and racism affects people from culturally diverse communities and what you can do about it in your workplace, you will learn about safe spaces and brave spaces and how to create them in your workplace. You will receive resources to help you once the course has been completed the course.

This course is suitable for any organisation's chief officers, senior managers/leaders and board/committee members, and staff working with communities.
