|Description||Protective Behaviours is for anyone who works with young people. Protective Behaviours can be used by practitioners working in all agencies including schools, police, health, social care and third sector. The course content has been designed to be used either whole group, small group or 1-to-1.
Judith Staff is a qualified teacher, and designated safeguarding lead in schools. She delivers training in Protective Behaviours, Voice of the Child and basic safeguarding. A practitioner as well as a trainer, Judith uses Protective Behaviours in direct work with children. A member of the Northamptonshire Safeguarding Children Board since 2014, Judith works with a range of agencies including schools on partnerships projects.

|Learning outcomes||What will you learn about? A down-to-earth approach to personal safety for all. Helpful approach for professionals working with children and parents on a universal level, and for those who may be experiencing, or have experienced, complexity, adversity, abuse or violence. A process which encourages self-empowerment, enhances skills to raise self-esteem and helps people find ways to avoid being victimised. Helps children and adults to recognise, trust and respond to their intuitive feelings. Encourages development of strategies for self-protection.|
