Trauma and Child Sexual Exploitation

Description This training event explores Trauma and Attachment and how it relates to CSE, including how Trauma and/or Insecure Attachments will manifest relating to CSE victims (those vulnerable to and those actually exploited), whether the Trauma took place in early childhood or has been caused by recent or ongoing sexual exploitation . The course will then build on this knowledge to further explore effective responses based on this understanding. It will also explore the issues of resilience and "resistance" to engage in the context of trauma informed practice for engaging with young people affected by CSE. Finally it will explore the issue the vicarious trauma. 

The course will be delivered by an experienced CSE practitioner and trainer, who is also a counselor.

Learning outcomes
Suitable for The course is aimed at practitioners with some experience of working with young people who have been affected by child sexual exploitation, as it assumes some knowledge of child sexual exploitation.
