Switching onto Science

Description Want to learn how the process of science informs our understanding of the world?   Want to explore how scientists ask questions and contribute to scientific knowledge?   This day is an opportunity to learn more about pathways to studying science, including the one-year Science Foundation programme which can lead on to Science, Engineering or Healthcare degrees at the University of Leeds. “I really enjoyed the labs, especially getting the chance to be hands on. I learned a huge amount about science” “Made me more confident and more relaxed about applying to university. It really helped talking to other students.”

Learning outcomes Come and see how science works and take part in hands-on laboratory activities at this FREE taster day at the University of Leeds.
Suitable for Anyone interested in exploring science or the possibility of studying a science subject.
How to book Lunch and refreshments will be provided. We have a limited budget for pre-school childcare in the University nursery. Please provide details of and we will contact you to discuss this. (Parents needing to leave early to collect children from school are welcome to do so). To attend this taster day, you must book a place.
