Description Social Venture School Leeds is a 2 day workshop on how to set up your own social venture.  
What will you get out of it?
2 days to think about and plan how to....
• develop an idea
• chose the right legal structure
• communicate it well
• finance it
• sustain it
• find funding and successfully apply
• manage money well

What’s the commitment?
2 days of your time, with follow up meetings if you want more support. We understand that 2 days is a big commitment, so we make sure the time is packed with information, advice, opportunities to network and lots of interactive and small group work. 

Who is it delivered by?
The school will be delivered by Participate, a community regeneration charity that supports both new and existing individuals and organisations to develop and grow social ventures. Participate will bring in specialist speakers and partners to help deliver the Social Venture School. 
The Course is free to attend thanks to funding from Heart of Experian.

Learning outcomes The 2 days will give you the chance to think about the legal structure you want your idea to take, the ways you might be able to fund it, ideas for monitoring and a structure to produce a plan that you can share these thoughts with others to get support.
Suitable for This training is suitable for anyone with an idea for community benefit that they want to make sustainable. We work with people wanting to set up social enterprises, charities, communities groups and those not sure what they want to be they just want to make their idea work in the best way possible.
