To enable participants to build on a foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and apply basic CBT skills in their practice.
It will provide useful information about case formulation/conceptualisation, interviewing and assessment skills. The course uses a number of learning activities (for example presentation, group work and individual reflection etc.) and will involve significant skills development exercises.

|Learning outcomes||At the end of the course participants will: • Understand and be able to use the 5 component model to organise client information into a formulation • Understand different kinds of case formulation • Be able to assess client experiences from a CBT perspective • Be able to undertake a basic screening assessment|
|Suitable for||This course is aimed at practitioners who wish to develop their understanding of CBT and who have a basic knowledge of the CBT model, either from the Community Links First Steps in CBT course or another training course.|
