|Description||If you train, teach or tutor adult learners, this is the course for you. The Award in Education and Training is the 'gateway' qualification for trainers, tutors and teachers in the lifelong learning sector. Five days in class across seven weeks, including designing and delivering a short session of your own.
This course aims to provide an exemplar of good practice in teaching through a facilitative and supportive approach. Resources and assessment are online. Your work must be uploaded to Moodle, a 'virtual learning environment' so the ability to create documents and upload them using the Internet are essential (you will be shown how to do this at the start of the course).
You will have up to one year to complete all work for the qualification, though some elements must be completed during the course and you should ensure that you have planned time for 'homework' during the course as well as attending all sessions.

What tools and techniques make it easier for our learners to engage and apply learning to real life. In this session, we will look at how we design learning around what we want our learners to learn while accommodating their individual needs Week 4 - Delivering and Assessing: During this session, half of the group will deliver their pre-planned ‘microteach’, we will learn more about how effective, constructive feedback enables learners to progress and how to assess their achievement Week 5- Delivering Learning, Regulation and Legal requirements: The remaining participants deliver their pre-planned ‘microteach’ and we discover the legalities and regulations that underpin excellent teaching practice|
