QuickBooks for Beginners

Description

If you are setting up QuickBooks, this course will give you all the basic information to keep your finances in order. The day will cover how to keep track of all the income and expenditure coming in and out of your organisation. The group will work through an 'example organisation' to give you hands on experience of using the accounting package. This course will be led by a WYCAS tutor.  Please note that lunch is not provided on this course. Bring lunch with you or alternatively there are places you can buy lunch near to the venue, the trainer will allow time for this during the day.

This two-day course aims to introduce participants to:

a) The principles of Charity Accounting and the form and content of charity accounts as required by the Charities SORP (FRS 102).

b) The principles and practicalities of undertaking an Independent Examination and the Charity Commissions’ Directions to independent examiners.

Learning outcomes Attendees will be made familiar with the theory and practice of performing independent examinations on charity accounts in England & Wales in accordance with the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
Suitable for Participants will have little previous knowledge or experience in charity accounting but will be familiar with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting. They are likely to be qualified or experienced accountants and may have experience of auditing, but will be unfamiliar with independent examination.
