Basic Safeguarding

Description Aimed at learners who want an introduction to Safeguarding before they take the Level 1, if English is not the first language or they need to understand more about what safeguarding means, this is the pre-course for you.

You will be able to discuss in detail and ask questions about aspects of safeguarding you want to learn more about, or you want to understand it in your own cultural context in a relaxed non threatening environment.

This is seen as a minimum requirement for all people working within settings which work with or have regular contact with children and young people. It is recommended that people undertake Refresher Training every 3 years.

Description This is the second running in Leeds of this highly praised and successful one day training event facilitated by Safer Lives. The aim of the training is to improve the confidence and understanding of front-line staff and their managers when working with adults and younger people who have previous sexual offence convictions or who otherwise present with harmful sexual behaviours and risks.

All delegates will receive CPD certificate.

Safer Lives are a Community interest Company with close ties to the criminal justice agencies in West Yorkshire. The event is to be facilitated by our outstanding trainers Rita Ashford and Jenny Greensmith - specialists in the community treatment and management of people with sexual convictions.
