VAL runs a Funding Support Service, which can help your third sector organisation with several aspects of raising funds:
Regular training courses on general fundraising, how to prepare bids, applying for specific opportunities and more. Visit the Training page to book on these courses.
We organise regular Funding Fairs around the city where you can drop-in, meet funders and find out more about their funding opportunities. Keep an eye on our Events page for details.
Skill-sharing and networking
VAL is encouraging voluntary groups to co-operatively share their skills in fundraising with others in a similar situation. The aim is to establish a Leeds Funding Support Network that will provide a free source of support to people that fundraise on behalf of groups. There will be events in 2017 to facilitate this.
To find out more and to participate in the Network, register on the Doing Good Leeds Portal and join the Leeds Funding Support Network forum. The Portal is a social media platform where you can talk to and share information with other people doing fundraising. Updates from VAL of forthcoming funding deadlines, funding news/events and more are also posted on the Portal.
