Health For All

For years the Active Clubs Experience team at Health For All have carried out amazing sports involving hundreds of schools across West Yorkshire and a variety of sports. Speaking to a number of teachers at schools involved in these tournaments they have said how important these experiences are for children.

It builds their self-esteem, their ability to work as a team, leadership skills and also social skills as they get to meet children from different backgrounds. Furthermore, it helps them learn respect for the other teams, the coaches, the referees as they also learn what it means to represent the school.

These tournaments are such a great opportunity for children to do something fun but also fulfilling and will provide them with more motivation to continue to be active which is our main aim as an organisation.

We have carried out tournaments for almost every age group across Primary Schools including sports such as football, dodgeball, tag rugby, cricket and others. Today we carried out a hugely successful football tournament having carried out our beloved tag rugby tournament last month. This is done in the memory of our former coach Rocky who was loved by all who he coached. This is a tournament particularly close to our hearts.

Our tournaments include between 25 and 30 teams so are great opportunities for schools. Every participant gets a reward whilst a trophy is given to the winners. We also do raffles for great prizes such as signed Leeds Rhinos shirts during the tournament.

We are pleased to be bidding for funding so that we carry out even more tournaments.
