Save money, save the planet – how could energy efficiency work for you?
Voluntary Action Leeds
Climate Action Leeds welcomes Ewan Jones, Technical Director, Sustainability & Decarbonisation Advisory, Buildings and Places at AECOM UK.
Ewan’s professional expertise includes working as a Low Carbon and Heat Networks Consultant, as well as designing energy efficiency measures for new and existing buildings. Ewan has also retrofitted his own house to achieve net zero carbon and helped to coordinate similar work on another house.
He has kindly volunteered to speak about various options for simple and more involved measures that can be taken in a variety of homes. Support and funding options will also be covered for making homes more energy efficient, cutting energy bills as well as carbon emissions.
Ewan’s talk will feature information for renters, homeowners, and organisations (e.g. community groups which own or lease a building) and he is happy to answer questions.
Please come for 5.30 pm and help yourself to refreshments before Ewan’s talk at 5.45 pm. There will then be time for Q&A and mingling until 7 pm; you might discover – or be able to share – suggestions or solutions for energy enquiries.
