Added: 17/06/2025
Voluntary Action Leeds
If you’re passionate about the third sector and want to help shape it’s future alongside a vibrant collective of leaders, Third Sector Leeds is offering a fantastic opportunity for you!
An independent collective of third sector voices, Third Sector Leeds is the leading policy body that advocates for the third sector’s interests in Leeds. Kim Groves, our current Chair, is standing down after leading the forum for two years, and we are seeking a new Chair to enable us to continue to influence key decisions for our city and for the sustainability of the third sector.
Being Chair of TSL is an interesting and varied position, which offers a unique opportunity to play a leading role celebrating our talented and inspiring sector, and in shaping decisions that make a real difference for communities.
Although the Chair may be employed by a third sector organisation, it’s crucial that our Chair is able to think objectively and act in the best interests of the sector.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Be a vocal public advocate for the third sector and for the difference it makes in communities
- Drive work across the city towards the ambitions set out in the Third Sector Strategy, working with strategic partners, the TSL Leadership Group, support team and wider members.
- Understand the values and strengths of the third sector and the ways that it makes its voice heard
- Bring organisations together to collaborate on shared agendas
- Drive our work to be a more diverse and inclusive body
- Build and maintain great relationships with leaders and decisions makers from all parts of the City
