We are always looking at how to help young people in care stay as close as possible to their schools, friends, and birth families. However, for some this has not been possible. That is why we are introducing the Reconnections Foster Care role.
As a Reconnections Foster Carer, you will look after a young person with significant emotional, behavioural, or developmental needs who has been living in residential care. With your support, you will offer them a temporary home that will then enable them to move back into a long-term family setting, either with another foster carer or a member of the young person’s birth family or extended network.
We are looking for people with significant experience working with young people and those who have understanding of how to utilise a trauma informed approach to support them, with full and part time roles available.
To help you provide the best possible care, we will support you with specialist training, a weekly fee of up to £1300 (up to £67,000 p.a.), a bespoke support package, and more.
If you know someone who is patient, playful, understanding, empathetic, nurturing, resilient, and ready for a new challenge, find out more and apply on our website: Reconnections Foster Carer.
