The Leeds City Council Leadership Academy delivers nationally recognised Skills for Care leadership programmes and CPD modules – six training opportunities especially for managers, supervisors and aspiring leaders across adult social care.

Our training opportunities provide practical, reflective learning to build confidence, strengthen leadership behaviours and support high‑quality care. The offer includes:

Leadership programmes (multi‑day):

• Lead to Succeed
• Leading Change, Improving Care
• Well‑Led

One‑day CPD modules:

• Understanding Self‑Management
• Understanding Performance Management
• Understanding Workplace Culture

You may be eligible for Learning and Development Support Scheme (LDSS) funding for the full cost of training.

Places for autumn programmes and modules are limited, so early booking is recommended.

All training is delivered by Leeds City Council as a Quality Assured Care Learning Service provider. You can join open cohorts at our city centre training venue or request bespoke in‑house delivery for teams of 10 or more staff.
