An exciting opportunity for young people to gain insight into the world of work through a supported work experience programme with:
Leeds Building Society Finance & Professional Services
Mott MacDonald Engineering
Balfour Beatty Construction
DLA Piper, Addleshaw Goddard Law
CGI – IT & Technology
Participants will:
- Visit a different workplace each day as part of a supported group
- Explore a range of careers and hear from professionals about their career journeys
- Develop confidence, communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Build professional networks
- Learn about job and apprenticeship opportunities, with support to apply
The programme includes:
- Free lunch each day
- Travel costs covered, including bus passes where needed
- Staff support throughout the week
- Interactive workplace visits and activities
- Ongoing advice and guidance on career, job and apprenticeship opportunities
Participants are expected to:
- Attend each day and arrive by 10am
- Communicate any absence or lateness
- Actively engage, ask questions and make the most of the experience
- Be willing to step outside their comfort zone and try new things
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience, build employability skills and explore future career pathways.
