100% Digital Leeds
This training will give practical hints and tips on how you can motivate and support people to build their digital skill and confidence.Focusing on digital inclusion for people with sensory impairment, you will find out: Improved digital skills help people be better informed, pay less for things, better manage their health and wellbeing, be more employable, access services, live more independently, be less isolated, and live easier lives. For some people it’s lack of confidence and understanding of the benefits of being online that is stopping them from doing things digitally. Our Digital Champions help people to understand what the online world has to offer, build up their confidence, and make the most of digital.Over the past few weeks we’ve all had to think about how we can do things differently, and while face-to-face contact is no longer an option, ‘doing things differently’ tends to mean doing things digitally and it tends to be the most vulnerable and isolated in our communities that are not online, meaning they’re not able to access vital services, get accurate information, and stay in touch with people.
