The Sir George Martin Charitable Trust encourages grant applications (£1K-£3K) from registered charities and churches in Leeds.
The Sir George Martin Charitable Trust gives funding in the region of £500 to £3,000 to front-line registered charities and churches in West Yorkshire who support disadvantaged and vulnerable people. The Trust is particularly interested in receiving applications for funding from registered charities and churches in Leeds who need help during the recovery phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The Trust will fund core, capital and project costs of outreach work to improve the well-being of residents in their local community. Small national charities which can show they are embedded in the area will also be considered.
Carla Marshall, Trust Manager of the Sir George Martin Trust said: “We try to make our application process as simple and enjoyable as possible. All the group needs to do is give me a call or drop me an email telling us a little bit about your work and your current financial situation. I’ll let you know right away if I think it’s worth taking the time to write an application and then it’s likely we’ll set up a Zoom or in person visit so I can get to know the organisation and its people a bit more. In the application, we like to hear the story of the charity or church, so plenty of information about the background and history of the organisation, as well as details about the project itself. We also like to be as flexible as possible and so you can ask for capital, core, project costs – or a mixture of them all.”
