Fiona Hardman, a final year Masters student at the University of Derby, is looking for people to take part in a research study exploring the motivations and experiences of online volunteers.

Online volunteers provide an important service to organisation’s and volunteer groups but UK based research on volunteering has been limited to date. As demand for online volunteers continues to thrive during the pandemic, shining a light on this experience from a volunteer perspective is more important now than ever.

The study is interested in your experiences of online volunteering which may include services accessed by telephone or online and involve listening and support, group supervision and providing one to one support to service users. The interview questions explore why you decided to start volunteering, and what you gain from volunteering.
