A West Yorkshire VCSE Assembly – Maximising Impact and Working Inclusively
Voluntary Action Leeds and Community Action Bradford & District, would like to invite all VCSE groups working in West Yorkshire to an online conversation, discussing the way forward for the sector following devolution.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) recently appointed its first (Combined Authority Metro) Mayor – Tracy Brabin. Following initial discussions with the new Mayor it is clear that Tracy is a strong supporter and advocate for the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and is keen to see the sector thrive.
What has also become clear to us at Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) and Community Action Bradford and District (CABAD) that, in order to maximise our impact and influence, we need to have a joined up approach to how we work at West Yorkshire level and our suggestion is through the development of a West Yorkshire VCSE Assembly.
Therefore, we would like to invite all VCSE organisations from across West Yorkshire to a discussion on what this assembly should aim to do and how it should function to maximise impact and work in an inclusive way.
