Hearing the Voices of Local Organisations in the Leeds City Plan
Added: 27/08/2021
Third Sector Leeds

The Council’s ‘Best Council Plan’ sets out the main things Leeds needs to achieve to make a difference for our Communities.
For several years it has focused on 3 key strategies – Health and Wellbeing (making our city healthier), Inclusive Growth (making the economy work better for communities) and the Climate Emergency.
As we come out of Covid there’s a recognition that our city needs to deliver lasting change so Third Sector Leeds is working with the Council to ensure that the voice of the third sector is reflected in the new plan and we really want to hear the voice of our local members.
We are running 3 short local events (in SE, ENE and WNW Leeds) – for any third sector organisation to attend but particularly focused towards our smaller and neighbourhood based organisations.
They will offer a great opportunity to hear about the key challenges and opportunities for our city and a chance to give your view from the ground.
Confirmed speaker: Mike Eakins, Intelligence and Policy Manager at Leeds City Council
*As always there will be plenty of time to network with other attendees working in the same area*
The three local events will take place on the dates below (local venues will be confirmed shortly):
Monday 4 October| 1.30pm – 3.30pm | West North West | St Matts Leeds, LS4 2DZ
Tuesday 12 October | 10am – 12pm | South East | Hillside, LS11 8ND
Tuesday 5 October | **East North East event is now cancelled due to low numbers. Potential attendees are requested to book on an alternative area event above**
