Third Sector Leeds was recently involved in a workshop with colleagues from across the third and public sectors to explore ways to develop a more collaborative approach to commissioning.

There were some great presentations, which we’ve attached below, which covered:

• A vision for service users, third sector organisations and the public sector to design and commission services together
• An overview of the changing public procurement regime
• Some key facts and figures about the third sector and some observations on its key strengths
• Case studies on times when service design and delivery has been done differently
• An overview of the commissioning cycle.

After this there was a lively workshop debate which included conversations about the potential to co-produce services with communities and ways to enable greater collaboration in forming, sustaining and developing new partnerships.

At TSL, we hope that this conversation with grow and widen over the coming months and we’ll continue to share feedback as it does.
