The University of Leeds
A research project has been launched by students at the University of Leeds, exploring inclusivity and diversity of disability within volunteering organisations.
The project hopes to gain valuable insights for volunteer organisations in Leeds on the barriers to volunteering for those with disabilities.
It also hopes to create a valuable opportunity for organisations to learn how and why to create a meaningful volunteering environment for those who are disabled.
If your organisation currently supports disabled volunteers, or you would like to be involved in increasing the inclusivity of your volunteering programme for the future, then the project would like you to get in touch.
Students are keen to ensure the voice of disabled volunteers is at the forefront of the project, to understand both the problems, solutions and value of inclusivity and diversity within volunteering.
If you would like to get involved in the exciting research project, please contact Kate Grant at ss21ketg@leeds.ac.uk
