Skelton Grange, a nature reserve and education centre, is where Green Team volunteers undertake gardening and practical conservation tasks. Every week Green Team does a range of gardening and conservation tasks with experienced leaders and a lovely group of volunteers!

You don’t need any experience – just enthusiasm – and we’d love to see you!

Tasks are all aimed to improve and maintain our grounds for the people and nature who use them and include:

• Managing vegetation
• Litter picking
• Woodland management
• Meadow management
• Building new features on site
• Removal of invasive species
• Food growing

Come along and make a difference to the nature reserve and education areas enjoyed by thousands of local people every year.

• Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring a packed lunch.
• All equipment and resources supplied and cleaned, wear old clothes that you don’t mind getting mucky, and dress for the weather.
• Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteers with any unspent criminal convictions for a sexual or violent offence.
