Think Like a Pony based in Leeds, celebrate after receiving the Child Friendly Leeds Award, being named the Best Place in Leeds for Children and Young People 2022.  

Think Like a Pony founder, Lynn Henry, said: “Being nominated for the Child Friendly Leeds Award for the Best Place in Leeds for Children and Young People 2022 was such a boost for all here at Think Like a Pony. The children, young people and families are a huge part of the success here and they were very excited to hear that our organisation had been shortlisted. The night of the awards was full of joy and nerves. The work that is being done in Leeds to help children to thrive is amazing and we felt very humble to be a part of it. As winners, taking the award back to the children and families was very emotional. We reflected on how far we had come as an organisation and shared a mutual celebration in the successes we all had achieved”.  

Think Like a Pony will open their new centre in September, which will faciliate the youth development programme, family development programme and riding school. The new centre is set to see a growth in the number of children and young people that the Think Like a Pony method can reach, increasing the propensity for the delivery of this life-changing approach.  

Think Like a Pony’s online Club is also continuing to grow, with more videos and resources being continually added, enabling those further away from the centre, or those who do not own a pony to learn how to communicate calmly, set boundaries and use a positive intention.  

Think Like a Pony are blown away by the support they have received from the general public this year and can’t wait to share what they have in store for the years to come.
