Last year, we worked with Nottingham Trent University, Pro Bono Economics and other VCS organisations to run a State of the Social Sector survey. The survey focuses on the impact of the cost of living crisis on charities and community organisations, and the data generated will be communicated to decision-makers, so that they know what support our sector needs.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the first VCSE Sector Barometer by completing it, promoting it, and helping shape the design. We had over 750 responses in total, our findings have been featured in several notable news outlets, News at Ten on BBC 1, on Radio 4’s Six O’clock News and in The Independent, raising awareness of the impact of rising energy costs on the social sector and the need for government support.
Wave 2 of the State of the Social Sector Survey is available now. By taking part, you will help inform government, media, and many others, of the pressures that charities, community groups and voluntary organisations are facing, across areas such as income, people, demand and impact.
The results of this survey will provide essential information on issues such as retention, recruitment and skills, which chime with many current debates. For example, in Wave 2, the thematic focus will be on workforce.
We’re very grateful for your time in helping to make a difference and ensure the sector’s voice is heard!
Please help us to support you, by completing the state of the social sector survey.
