The Hunslet Club
The Hunslet Club is a not-for-profit youth organisation and registered charity with over 3370 active members. Our top priority is to serve as a haven for young people in and around Leeds. We offer over 100 activity sessions each week, alongside our free youth clubs, suitable for young people ages 8 and above.
Our youth clubs provide an invaluable safety net for young people, where they can meet and participate in various activities:
- Football
- Dodgeball
- Hair and beauty salon sessions
- Gaming room, with various consoles, an arcade machine, and Star Wars Pinball Machine
- Baking – creating new recipes in our kitchen, where young people can enjoy what they make
- Board games, card games, Nintendo Switch games
- Guest speakers
- Pool table
- Outdoor games
- Dance sessions
- Party games
- Themed events (typically around holidays such as Christmas, Easter etc)
- Social action projects
- Gardening
This is just a snapshot of what we offer young people in and around Leeds, as we have fundraising events throughout the year, where money is put back into our youth clubs to fund trips outside of The Hunslet Club.
Many young people have a turbulent life outside our walls; therefore, we want to provide a sense of stability and safety. Young people deserve the chance to unwind, make friends, learn life skills and above all else, feel safe.
Our youth clubs are designed to keep young people off the streets and away from trouble and can provide them with a sense of safety, support, and encouragement.
Junior youth club: ages 8 – 12
- Monday – 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday – 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday – 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Senior youth club: year 8+
- Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Youth Clubs, like ours, can help young people understand the world around them. We can support them as they think about their future, work through the past and even help them thrive in the present.
These youth club sessions are free, and no booking is required. All you do is sign in at the reception. Activities within the youth club are also free, however, we do have a tuck shop onsite that does serve affordable food.
