Communities Innovating Yorkshire Fund – ‘watch this space’.

Added: 23/12/2024

YPIP is a UKRI-funded project operating throughout Yorkshire and Humber bringing together academia, local government and community organisations on place-based initiatives themed around:

  • inclusive economy
  • creative industries
  • climate

The diverse stakeholders working across these will also have an input into creating a shared facility to access and analyse local and regional data sources. Community engagement and an inclusive voice based on lived experience cuts across all these themes. The project will be exploring new ideas and practices through pilot initiatives, whilst also platforming innovative working within the region. The aim is to co-create collaborative spaces for replication and scaling up.   One of the key pieces of upcoming work is the ‘Communities Innovating Yorkshire Fund’ which will launch in early 2025.

This fund will be used on emerging projects, studies, activities, and ideas that reflect YPIP’s focus on accelerating community-led inclusive and sustainable growth.

Projects must be bring together a collaboration of different stakeholders through meaningful community engagement.

There will be two funding pathways to be inclusive of grassroot and larger scale community organisations to demonstrate their innovative ideas.

Watch this space for further updates on the fund, and please do give a heads up to partners who are working across our themes in the region.
