Join us at Leeds Kirkgate Market to find out more about volunteering, meet organisations looking for volunteers and chat to our teams!

Have you ever thought about helping people in your community, but didn’t know where to start?

Come along to our volunteering fair where you can meet a whole range of different organisations that would love your help.  It’s an opportunity to get a feel for the different types of charitable work available across Leeds, with people representing everything from environmental projects to support for elderly people and getting people involved in the arts!

Volunteer Recruitment Fair 2019

If you need any more convincing, here are our top ten reasons to volunteer:

At the Volunteer Centre Leeds people often tell us about the difference that volunteering has made to their lives.  Volunteers say their experience has improved their wellbeing because of the connection with other people, the opportunity to get out and about, having a routine and the opportunity to learn new skills.

Here’s what they said…

“In addition to getting involved and helping out in and around the city, it’s a whole new community of people from different walks of life that I would never have met or interacted with before.”

“It’s given me a massive confidence boost. I’ve got to know people I would never have known otherwise and shown me that I’m not alone.”

So, be sure to come along to chat with us Tuesday the 28th January 2020 from 11am until 3pm at Leeds Kirkgate Market – Event Space (next to the food hall).

We will look forward to seeing you there and meeting you in person!
