LeedsACTS Seedcorn Funding – Community Wealth Building Applications open!

Added: 18/10/2023

Applications are now open to recieve seedcorn funding for projects supporting Community Wealth Building.

This fund is a small (£2,500) pot of funding to support 4-6 proposals (between £300 – £800) that build collaborative links. The aim is to provide greater opportunity for voluntary and community organisations to come together with people from universities to explore opportunities for collaboration and to work up ideas for joint action.

Leeds ACTS recently ran a melting pot event of the latest Community Wealth Building Seedcorn Funding round where the fund was officially launched the fund.

Please visit the following links for an overview of the funding and an application form. The aim of the seedcorn fund is to facilitate opportunity for early collaboration between third sector and academic institutions rather than deliver a set project. It is about getting to know each other and better understand the different working cultures.

Leeds ACTS also have the slides from the guest speaker during the Melting Pot event available, which acts as a refresher of Community Wealth Building and how it can be applied.

The closing date for applications is Monday 20th November. If you have any ideas and questions about this fund please email Sonja Woodcock on sonja.woodcock@val.org.uk.
