Over at FoodWise Leeds we are building a movement around Food Growing. To bring people together and kickstart this movement we have launched a competition…

To enter the competition just simply hashtag #GetGrowingLeeds and tag @FoodWiseLeeds in a photo of what veggies/herbs/edible plants you have been growing this season. Upload on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. You can even email myself lucy.williams@zestleeds.org.uk with a photo and I can upload it onto the FoodWise account.

We have gathered some fab prizes from our local indie grocers including The Fruit Stall, GoodBox and Eat Your Greens. These veggie hampers will be filled with veg, locally made produce and goodies for our prize winners!

The competition is on now until the end of June! Spread the word on your platforms far and wide, encourage people to use the hashtags and tag @FoodWiseLeeds to enter! We can’t wait to see what everyone has been growing as a city, hopefully it will encourage more people to grow their own!
