Ever experienced a recruitment headache? Not sure how best to fill your vacancy? Struggling to pull together an interview process?
Last year our VALYOU team were busy expanding and growing our recruitment service, offering third sector organisations support whereby all profits used go back into supporting the work of Voluntary Action Leeds and the third sector.
Maxine Woods, Operations Manager at VALYOU, was keen to create a comprehensive service that supported the needs of the sector across Leeds. Maxine commented: “It’s important that Charities are able to attract the best people to their organisations, but often they don’t have the resources or expertise to confidently recruit for their vacancies. We really wanted to offer a service that would allow us to share our wealth of experience, tailor the service to each organisation we are working with and do this all at an affordable price.”
The end-to-end recruitment framework was created which would ensure all aspects of the process were covered for the organisations we support; from working with the client to produce a job advert, to fielding queries from applicants and hosting interviews here at Stringer House.
John Casey, from Leeds South and East Foodbank, explains why the recruitment service was the perfect choice for his organisation: “We were already a VALYOU Payroll client and have always received a good service, so when we heard about the recruitment service we were interested to find out more. Maxine was extremely professional and efficient, and was able to manage the full process. It really took the load off us. VAL offers the complete package for recruitment, which for an organisation like ours with no HR resources it was a real benefit. I would strongly recommend.”
What are the plans for the future?
Looking forward into 2020 the team are introducing an Associates Programme, for charities looking for specialised people with a specific skill set to help their organisation. Watch this space for exciting new developments on this!
In addition, the recruitment service will not only be working with the Third Sector but will also be offering the service to small businesses and to private sector organisations too, giving the private sector the opportunity to support communities across Leeds through VALYOU.
Maxine commented: “It is so rewarding to see organisations recruit the best people and we hope to see more organisations benefit from this service in the future.”
