Purpose of the Job:
The primary objective of this project is to urgently support our women service users in addressing the pressing cost-of-living crisis they are currently facing
- Providing activities to help them build confidence.
- Raising awareness of the cost-of-living crisis and the available support services.
- Improving financial stability.
- Enhancing the mental health and well-being of our service users.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To provide high-quality, customer-focused advice and advocacy support to people living with and affected by sight loss.
- To organise activities and services that empower service users and support strengthening their financial resilience.
- To deliver activities that assist and support their mental well-being.
- To set up, run and facilitate activities ie booking venues, liaise with facilitators, arrange refreshments etc
- To collaborate with local charities and agencies to deliver sessions on debt management, financial management, and so forth, raising awareness of the cost-of-living crisis.
- To assess financial needs /support needs of new and existing service users and refer them to an appropriate service
- To support women in overcoming the financial challenges of the cost-of-living crisis and its impact by providing one-to-one assistance.
- To manage a caseload of individuals to facilitate access to suitable community-based interventions and refer/signpost individuals to appropriate services according to their needs
