Women Wellbeing Worker

Purpose of the Job: 

The primary objective of this project is to urgently support our women service users in addressing the pressing cost-of-living crisis they are currently facing

 

  1. Providing activities to help them build confidence.
  2. Raising awareness of the cost-of-living crisis and the available support services.
  3. Improving financial stability.
  4. Enhancing the mental health and well-being of our service users.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality, customer-focused advice and advocacy support to people living with and affected by sight loss.
  • To organise activities and services that empower service users and support strengthening their financial resilience. 
  • To deliver activities that assist and support their mental well-being.
  • To set up, run and facilitate activities ie booking venues, liaise with facilitators, arrange refreshments etc 
  • To collaborate with local charities and agencies to deliver sessions on debt management, financial management, and so forth, raising awareness of the cost-of-living crisis.
  • To assess financial needs /support needs of new and existing service users and refer them to an appropriate service
  • To support women in overcoming the financial challenges of the cost-of-living crisis and its impact by providing one-to-one assistance. 
  • To manage a caseload of individuals to facilitate access to suitable community-based interventions and refer/signpost individuals to appropriate services according to their needs
