Leeds Community Foundation is pleased to open The Mohn Westlake Arts Engagement Fund for applications.

The Mohn Westlake Arts Engagement Fund is a partnership between Leeds Community Foundation and The Mohn Westlake Foundation, which aims to nurture opportunities for young people to experience, engage with, create and enjoy art. Leeds has an array of world leading arts institutions, festivals and organisations, and is host to Leeds 2023 – a year of culture and celebration.

Key information

• Funding can support creative projects and activities engaging children and young people up to age 20 (25 for those with additional needs, such as disabilities)
• Art can be defined in a broad sense – visual, written, performance, combined arts, etc
• Opportunities should be accessible and aimed at young people who experience barriers to engaging with arts (financial, social, attitudinal, physical, cultural, etc)
• Funded activities will increase access and awareness of Leeds’s wider arts and cultural offer
• Organisations and activities should be based in Leeds Metropolitan District
• Applicant organisations must have an income of under £500,000 in the last financial year
• Only one application per organisation can be considered, but organisations can be named partners in other applications
