+1 online group programme for 16-24 year old men

Added: 13/10/2020

Caring Dads

A new online programme called +1 has been launched by The Caring Dad’s Team at Leeds City Council. It is aimed at 16-24 year old men but they do not need to be current or expectant fathers.

+1 is for young men in Leeds aged 16-24, where there are concerns about their behaviour in relationships or they are considered to be at risk of behaving abusively towards intimate partners. The primary aim of +1 will be to focus on increasing these young men’s awareness of what constitutes a healthy relationship.

The programme is preventative and fairly ‘light touch’ so is not likely to be suitable for men you consider as high risk or who have a significant history of domestic abuse; however if you are unsure of a man’s suitability, please give me a ring to discuss.

With COVID-19 continuing to impact on service delivery this course will be delivered online via ‘Zoom’ for 6 weeks commencing Monday November 2nd (see flyer below for the full dates) and they are now accepting referrals.

Please contact Richard if you would like to discuss +1 ,or a potential referral into the programme:
