Advocacy for parents project talk and brunch this June
Are you a parent in Leeds? Are you a parent with a learning disability/difficulty, mental health or autistic? Or do you support someone like this?
The Advonet Group’s Turn to Us project want to hear from people with lived experience and use your feedback to create a service that is right for your needs. They will do this at a free event this June.
You will have an opportunity to feedback on the services they deliver. Come and join them and let them know what would work best for you.
They will speak to you about:
- What advocacy is and how it can help you.
- Peer and Self-Advocacy.
- Translating documents into easy read or an accessible format.
- What information would help you?
- Volunteering opportunities.
When is the talk?
It is on Thursday 30 June from 10am to 1pm. The talk is at this address:
Unity Business Centre
26 Roundhay Road
There will be drinks and snacks provided.
If you would like to come, please register for free at https://turntoustalk.eventbrite.co.uk/.
