U3A was founded in 1982 and is a UK-wide movement and meeting of people no longer in full-time work to:

Live – what is life without making new friends and sharing interests?
Cookridge and Horsforth U3A is a locally-run group that provide a wide range of opportunities to come together and learn for fun. Members can explore new ideas, skills and activities together.
So what do we do?
We meet twice a month, on Monday mornings at either Cookridge Village Hall or St Margaret’s Church in Horsforth where a visiting speaker talks on various topics – artistic, historical, geographical, biographical or charities
Interest Groups you can join are :Table Tennis, Life in Tudor England, My Generation Music, Curry Club, Boules, Ukulele, Play Reading, Creative writing, Bridge, Mahjong, Family History, Wine Appreciation and many more.
