Barriers to Cervical Screening Focus Groups
The Leeds Cancer Awareness team are working with Cancer Wise Leeds to find out reasons why women and people with a cervix may choose not to attend their cervical screening (Smear Test).
The focus group will be an hour long and participants will receive a £15 gift voucher as a thank you for taking part.
Eligibility
- Participants must be female or people with a cervix.
- Aged 24-29
- Living in LS14, LS15, LS8 or LS9.
The participants can either have attended or not attended cervical screening (smear test).
When will the focus groups take place?
There will be three focus groups, and all sessions will take place on Zoom.
- 26th March 2021 11am-12pm
- 29th March 2021 10am-11am
- 29th March 2021 1pm-2pm
A £15 gift card will be given to each participant.

Each participant will be contacted before the focus groups take place. Participants will be provided with an information sheet to find out more about the research and will also be provided with a consent form.
