Black History Month is not just a month to celebrate the continued achievements and contributions of Black people in the UK and around the world, it’s also a time for continued action to tackle racism, reclaim Black history, and ensure Black history is represented and celebrated all year round.

This year, the Culturally diverse hub is hosting a curated space designed for you to connect with yourself and local communities through play, art, joy and conversation.

On the Night

• Story telling: Listen to stories centring individual stories of resilience, community and joy
• Art exhibit: Celebrating art pieces by artists, centring Black Joy, Black Imagination and Black cultures.
• Guided painting session: Creative session exploring hope for the future through art.
• Community voices: Intimate community conversations,  dedicated space to hear your thoughts on a series of topics, issues and hope for the future.

Food and music will be provided on the evening.
