Leeds Voices
The voices of communities with the worst health outcomes are the most important to capture when changes are made to health services.
Over the last 4 years Leeds Voices have worked with Leeds CCG to deliver engagements around a wide range of services.
This has included seeking the views of different community groups on engagements such as:
-
- Covid-19 Vaccine Messaging
- Adult Mental Health Commissioning Review
- Leeds Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service Review
- Adult Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation Services
You can read more about Leeds Voices and the reports we have produced on our webpage here.
Leeds Voices have a wide membership of third sector organisations representative of many diverse communities of Leeds. We also have a membership of private and public organisations who help us reach the voice of working people.
As the year draws to a close, marking the end of our four-year contract with the CCG, we have taken some time to reflect on the achievements of the project to date.
We would like to share with you our Celebration Document which shows the engagements we have carried out, celebrating not only our members but the many volunteers who have made the project so successful too.
In the new year we will be launching an Asset Based Engagement Toolkit, a practical document that we hope will be useful to other third sector organisations interested in carrying out community engagements. Many third sector organisations in Leeds do community engagement and do it well,so our toolkit will aim to spotlight some of that work and provide basic tips, templates and case studies to help grass roots groups in the future.
If you want to be involved in future engagement work with the CCG contact Caroline Mackay on caroline.mackay2@nhs.net, and for more information about the Toolkit or Leeds Voices work from January please email Claire on claire.graham@val.org.uk.
