Charity Governance Awards (Enter by 12 February 2025)

Celebrating Trusteeship and Rewarding Good Charity Governance

The Charity Governance Awards are an exciting not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance and trusteeship in charities across the UK, allowing large and small not-for-profit organisations to inspire and learn from one another. These are the only charity awards that are designed to celebrate trustees, free to enter (with a free awards ceremony), and do not generate profit for the sponsors or partners. Our mission is to celebrate and reward exceptional charity governance, while sharing exemplary work that inspires and informs boards and trustees across the country.

We all know that effective governance makes a difference. By sharing examples of brilliant boards and transformational trusteeship, we want to show how good governance and doing good go hand-in-hand.

For the 10th anniversary of the awards, we have five categories intended to showcase the work trustees do to help charities respond to emerging challenges and fulfil their missions. We’ve also increased the grand prize for winners to £6,000 (£1,500 for runners-up).

Boards demonstrating outstanding governance and trusteeship are urged to share their own examples of best practice and help raise the bar of charity governance across the UK.

Entries for the tenth and final year of the awards will be accepted until 12 February 2025. The shortlist will be announced in April 2025, with winners revealed during a live ceremony on 3 June!

Use the ‘Get in Touch’ form on bottom of this page to sign up to our occasional emails for more news on the 2025 awards. National and local charities, large and small, are encouraged to participate. Entries are free and easy to submit online.
