Christmas Present Appeal in Beeston, Leeds
Added: 15/11/2023
The Hunslet Club
The Hunslet Club, in South Leeds, delivers a school sports programme to help young people stay active in a fun and engaging way. Experienced coaches deliver these educational sports and PE sessions in different schools, including, New Bewerley Community School in Beeston, who have asked us to promote an incredible cause they are undertaking.
New Bewerley Community School is an inner-city school in an area with extremely high levels of deprivation, where a lot of children will not receive any presents this Christmas 2023. This school is organising a Christmas Present appeal this December to ensure more young people have a happy Christmas.
Every child deserves to wake up Christmas morning, with excitement bubbling under the surface. Little feet stomping down the stairs to see what Santa left. No child wants to believe that Santa forgot about them, which is why the Christmas Present Appeal is so important. Every child is important; therefore, every child deserves a gift this Christmas.
New Bewerley Community School hopes to give EVERY child a gift this Christmas and they would appreciate it if you would be willing to donate a gift to children who would light up with excitement about receiving a gift.
Over 400 young people attend this school, aged 4 – 11, and they understand that this is a huge task, which is why your help is essential.
The school is collecting new toys and games to give away to children this Christmas.
If you can support making a child’s Christmas, please contact Cat Barnes on 0113 8878718, c.barnes@newbewerley.org.uk or drop off your gifts at the school office, New Bewerley Community School, Bismarck Drive, Leeds, LS11 6TB by Friday, 8th December 2023.
Thank you for changing the meaning of Christmas this year for so many children who go without, your donation will mean the world.
