Co-operatives UK is funding this FREE workshop on 8 February 2024 in Halifax, delivered by Mark Simmonds.

This is part of a series of workshops across the UK. It is open to any groups in West Yorkshire area who wish to find out more about co-ops.

Details: In West Yorkshire and thinking of starting a business? Or looking for a different approach to your existing business or community enterprise? Do you want it to be equitable, inclusive, democratic and empowering for everyone involved?

Co-op Culture, Calderdale Co-operative Association and Co-operatives UK – the national network body for co-ops – have teamed up to bring the workshop to budding start-ups, community groups and co-op curious people in West Yorkshire.

Using the context of West Yorkshire’s co-operative heritage and thriving modern co-operative economy, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of co-ops and discover their purpose and benefits. You’ll also discover if your business or community enterprise idea suits the co-op model, as well as the next steps for starting one.
